Survivor Peter Frank canoeing 6,000 miles across U.S. to thank those who helped after his life-altering accident.

Twenty-three-year-old Peter Frank is canoeing a 6,000-mile Great Loop route to express gratitude for his survival after a car accident that left him with 14 broken bones and near-paralyzed nearly a decade ago. The route covers parts of the Atlantic and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, the Great Lakes, Canadian Heritage Canals, and U.S. rivers. Frank documents his journey on his blog, earns income through writing, and runs a "Rotisserie Chicken Fund" for donations to help cover his expenses.
