PepsiCo buys full control of hummus brands Sabra and Obela for $244M, expanding healthier food options.

PepsiCo has agreed to buy the remaining 50% stake in Sabra and Obela from Strauss Group for about $244 million, giving it full control of the dip and spread brands. Sabra, a leading U.S. hummus brand, and Obela, based in Australia and New Zealand, will help PepsiCo expand its healthier food offerings. The acquisition is expected to complete by year-end, supporting PepsiCo’s goal to innovate and meet growing consumer demand for better-for-you products.
