New Zealand opens $6M Kahurangi facility to enhance mental health services for young people.

Mental Health Minister Matt Doocey has opened Kahurangi, a new $6 million state-of-the-art facility in Christchurch, New Zealand, designed to improve mental health services for children and adolescents. Funded in part by the Māia Health Foundation, the facility includes sensory rooms and a therapeutic garden, aiming to provide a warm and welcoming environment. The facility brings together various mental health teams, streamlining care for young people and their families. It is part of a larger redevelopment plan for the Hillmorton Campus, which includes new clinical buildings and an energy center.
