A €103 million solar plant in Bulgaria aims to significantly boost the country’s renewable energy output.

A 237.6 MW solar plant in Bulgaria, set to generate over 300 GWh annually, has secured €103 million in funding, with €50 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and €53 million from Austria's Raiffeisen Bank International. This project aims to boost Bulgaria's renewable energy output, targeting 34.7% of electricity from renewables by 2030. It will be the country's first large-scale renewable plant selling all its output directly to the market.
