Alam Din, known as Allu, was detained under Jammu and Kashmir's Public Safety Act (PSA) after being linked to multiple criminal cases in Samba and Udhampur districts. The district magistrate ordered his detention based on a police dossier, citing threats to public peace. The PSA allows for preventive detention without trial for up to two years to maintain public order. Allu is now being held at Kathua district jail.
