Kansas City's Nelson-Atkins Museum selects six firms for a $160M expansion design.

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri, has selected six firms from an international competition of 182 entries to design a $160-$170 million expansion. The project aims to integrate the museum's campus and create new spaces for exhibitions and events. Each finalist, including Kengo Kuma and Associates and Renzo Piano Building Workshop, will receive $75,000 for their designs. The winner will be chosen in spring 2025.
