Italian tourist Gabriele Cairo, 29, was spared jail time after an Adelaide judge suspended a three-and-a-half-year sentence for causing a fatal crash in South Australia in 2023. The crash killed Jacqueline Clark and her parents, John and Cynthia. Cairo pleaded guilty to three counts of causing death by dangerous driving. Judge Paul Muscat cited Cairo's remorse and character, sentencing him to 15 years of driving disqualification instead of jail time. The Clark family expressed forgiveness and understanding towards Cairo.
