Hyundai and Kia are recalling over 208,000 electric vehicles due to a potential loss of drive power, increasing crash risks. The issue affects 145,000 Hyundai and Genesis models like the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, GV60, GV70, and G80, and nearly 63,000 Kia EV6 vehicles from 2022 to 2024. Dealers will inspect, replace the damaged charging control unit, and update software for free. Owners will receive notification letters in December and January.
