Canada Post reported a $315 million pre-tax loss in Q3 2023, up from a $290 million loss in the same period last year. The company's revenue growth in direct marketing wasn't enough to offset declines in parcel results. This financial downturn coincides with a national strike involving about 55,000 workers, affecting operations. The Canada Post Group of Companies, including Purolator, posted a $252 million pre-tax loss, up from $217 million last year. Purolator had a $62 million pre-tax profit, down from $68 million previously.
