Woman sentenced to over 6 years for DUI-related death on Native American reservation.
A 30-year-old woman from Walthill, Nebraska, Dawnika Walker, was sentenced to 80 months in federal prison for involuntary manslaughter after hitting and killing a 63-year-old motorcyclist on the Winnebago Indian Reservation while driving under the influence in February 2024. Walker, with multiple prior DUI convictions, was also ordered to pay $23,000 in restitution to the victim's family.
