UK activists call for law to prevent human rights abuses linked to UK companies abroad.

Peace Brigades International (PBI) UK reports that human rights activists opposing UK-linked extractive industries have faced violence in Colombia, Honduras, Indonesia, and Mexico. The group calls for a UK law mandating companies to conduct due diligence to prevent human rights and environmental abuses. Over 150 UK businesses, cross-party parliamentarians, and four-fifths of UK adults support such legislation.
