Senate passes bill for commemorative coins to fund service dogs for disabled veterans and first responders.

The U.S. Senate has passed a bipartisan bill, the Working Dog Commemorative Coin Act, which aims to support veterans and first responders with disabilities by providing them with specially trained service dogs. The act, also passed by the House in May, will honor the societal impact of working dogs. Funds from the sale of commemorative coins will benefit America's VetDogs, helping to cover the cost of breeding, raising, training, and placing service dogs at no cost to those in need. The coins are set to be issued in 2027.
