Nigerian customs revenue at Murtala Muhammed Airport surged 94% in 2024, reaching N144.2 billion.

The Nigeria Customs Service at Murtala Muhammed Airport reported a 94% increase in revenue collection to N144.2 billion between January and October 2024, up from N74.28 billion in the same period last year. The growth is attributed to improved trade facilitation and compliance. The customs also intercepted contraband worth N3.32 billion, including live turtles, military equipment, and cannabis, between July and October.
