El Paso Water found E. coli in a well but assures residents the water is still safe to drink.

El Paso Water detected E. coli in a Lower Valley well, but assures the water remains safe to drink. The well was taken out of service and disinfected after routine testing. Though E. coli can cause illness, especially in vulnerable groups like infants and those with weak immune systems, the utility says the water is filtered and chlorinated, eliminating health risks. Further tests are planned for Thursday.
