A 14-year-old boy died after a collision between a pickup he was in and a broken-down truck in Alberta.

A 14-year-old boy was killed on November 18 when a pickup truck he was riding in collided with a broken-down commercial truck on Highway 2 near Athabasca, Alberta. Both drivers were injured, but the teenager died at the scene. Authorities say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident, and the investigation is ongoing. The RCMP have offered condolences to the family and community.
