Two Singapore restaurants face two-week closures and fines for hygiene issues and unregistered staff.

Two Chinese restaurants in Singapore, Shandong Restaurant and Beijing Roast Duck House, have been shut down for two weeks due to hygiene issues and failing to register employees. The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) imposed the closure and $800 fines after each restaurant amassed 12 demerit points for violations within a year. Employees must retake a food safety course before returning to work. The SFA warns that further offenses could lead to license cancellation.
