Two Irish 11-year-old boys with autism receive over €40,000 in settlements for being prescribed anti-psychotic drugs.

Two 11-year-old boys with autism in Ireland have received settlements totaling over €40,000 after being prescribed anti-psychotic drugs by mental health services in Kerry. The High Court approved the settlements, despite the Health Service Executive (HSE) arguing that the boys experienced few side effects. The HSE set up a compensation scheme after a review found that care provided to 240 young people did not meet standards, significantly harming 46 children.
