Rio Tinto reports rising bullying and sexual harassment, despite workplace culture improvements.

Rio Tinto, a major mining company, reports an increase in bullying and persistent sexual harassment and assault cases despite efforts to improve workplace culture. The latest survey shows 39% of employees experienced bullying, up from 31% in 2021, with women facing the highest increase. Sexual harassment rates remain at 7%, and eight cases of rape or attempted rape were reported, up from five in 2021. The company has implemented 17 out of 26 recommended changes but faces ongoing resistance from some employees.
