Between January and September 2024, 45 police officers in Malaysia were arrested for suspected bribery and abuse of power. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) made these arrests, and out of 27 officers charged, 13 were convicted. The Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, emphasized the need for strict action against corrupt officers.
