Louisiana public schools' ratings improve for third year, moving up to a B grade statewide.

Louisiana public schools have seen their ratings improve for the third consecutive year, with the statewide score increasing nearly two points to 80.2 out of 150, equating to a B grade. DeSoto Parish retained its A rating, ranking second in the state, while Caddo Parish improved from a C to a B. The state's national education ranking also climbed to 40th from 46th. However, a tougher grading system set to be introduced in 2026 is expected to lower many schools' grades.
