Irish charity Barnardos reports a 25% rise in support needs but faces a significant funding gap.

Barnardos, an Irish children's charity, saw a 25% increase in those supported last year, serving 26,009 children and adults. The charity now faces a €700,000 deficit and aims to raise €10 million to meet demand. Over 2,000 children are on waiting lists for assessments, with many waiting over three months. Barnardos CEO Suzanne Connolly urges political parties to detail plans for investing in family services and support for children with disabilities.
