India’s EPFO added 1.88 million new members in September, showing a 9.33% rise year-over-year.

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in India added 18.81 lakh new members in September 2024, marking a 9.33% year-on-year growth. This increase is due to better employment opportunities and heightened awareness of employee benefits. The 18-25 age group accounted for 59.95% of new members, and there was a notable rise in female members. Maharashtra led in new member additions, followed by other major states. About 41.69% of new members came from expert services like manpower suppliers and contractors.
