Indiana seeks more foster homes quickly as child placements rise; holiday programs aid families, children.

Indiana's National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking foster homes, especially in Evansville, as more children enter foster care. The process to become licensed is quicker, taking about 30 days. Meanwhile, Single Mothers Outreach (SMO) has launched its Adopt-A-Family program to help single-parent families during the holidays. Muskingum County's Adopt-a-Child program also needs donors to provide gifts for local children in need. The Barrera & Barrera Law Firm in Texas is hosting a Giving Tree event to provide gifts for foster children.
