Hong Kong and Shenzhen outline plans for a joint science and tech innovation zone by 2035.

The Hong Kong government has outlined plans for a science and technology innovation zone in collaboration with Shenzhen, aiming to develop a world-class research platform and an international R&D base by 2035. The 87-hectare Hong Kong section of the zone will focus on fostering global tech resources and testing new policies. Phase 1 is set to be completed by 2030, with plans for footbridges to connect the Hong Kong and Shenzhen parks.
