GNFC and INEOS team up to build a big acetic acid plant in India, set to start in 2028.

GNFC, a state-run Indian chemical company, and INEOS Acetyls International from the UK have agreed to form a 50:50 joint venture to build and operate a large acetic acid plant in India. The venture will handle operations and domestic marketing. GNFC offers local market knowledge, while INEOS provides technical expertise. The project, expected to start in 2028, aims to boost local acetic acid production, reducing India's dependency on imports.
