Edinburgh approves £1.3 billion project for 847 eco-friendly homes, including affordable units and amenities.

The City of Edinburgh Council has approved a £1.3 billion project to build 847 "net zero ready" homes in Granton Waterfront, a large brownfield site. The development, set to be completed between 2025 and 2032, includes plans for a new primary school, a low-carbon heat network, commercial units, and active travel routes. Aimed at addressing the city's housing needs, 45% of the homes will be affordable.
