Vietnam aims to eliminate all temporary and dilapidated homes by 2025, five years ahead of schedule, according to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Over 1.7 million homes have been built or repaired since 2000 to aid poor households. Ministries and individuals have contributed billions of Vietnamese Dong to support this effort. The campaign also focuses on providing housing for those with meritorious services and disadvantaged ethnic minority households.
