Victorian government approves 250 MW solar project near Toolleen, despite environmental concerns.

The Victorian government has approved Edify Energy's 250 MW Muskerry Solar Power Station near Toolleen, despite concerns over the removal of seven hectares of native vegetation, including endangered Grey Box Grassy Woodlands. The project, spanning 1057 hectares of farmland, will require vegetation offsets to compensate for the loss. Construction, expected to take up to 18 months, is supported by the government as part of the renewable energy transition, with the aim to minimize environmental impacts.
