Telangana minister denies opposition claims of excessive spending on state secretariat renovation.

Telangana's Roads and Buildings Minister Venkat Reddy denied claims by opposition parties that the government spent over Rs 2 crore on renovating the state secretariat. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi alleged costs close to Rs 3.5 crore, particularly for the main gate. Reddy countered that the total renovation, including a new statue, would not exceed Rs 2 crore. He emphasized that the project aims to boost visitor numbers, not to address Vaastu principles. The BJP also criticized the renovation, calling it a waste of public money.
