Tata Power and Bhutan's Druk Green Power team up for 5,000 MW renewable energy projects.

Indian energy company Tata Power and Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation have formed a partnership to develop 5,000 MW of renewable energy projects in Bhutan, including hydropower and solar power. This collaboration aims to meet rising energy demands and contribute to Bhutan's goal of achieving a 25,000 MW capacity by 2040. The projects include the 1,125 MW Dorjilung HEP and the 740 MW Gongri Reservoir, as well as 500 MW of solar power. The partnership supports economic development and long-term energy security for both nations.
