Nigerian business leader Fatuyi Yemi Philips sentenced to 21 years for N43.5M fraud.
Nigerian businessman Fatuyi Yemi Philips, former chairman of the Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association, was sentenced to 21 years in prison for a N43.5 million fraud. The Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, found him guilty of obtaining money by false pretenses. In addition to the prison sentence, Philips must repay the full amount to the victims and his company faces fines totaling N750,000.
