A Niagara Falls woman is charged after a toddler died from toxic drug levels in fentanyl.
A 40-year-old woman in Niagara Falls, Ontario has been charged with criminal negligence causing death and drug offenses after a two-year-old child died from fentanyl and bromazolam toxicity. The child was found without vital signs on November 21, 2023. Bromazolam, a benzodiazepine not prescribed in Canada, was found mixed in the region's illegal fentanyl supply. The suspect's identity is being withheld to protect the family's privacy.
