New Zealand's Operation Tow impounded 155 vehicles from high-risk drivers to enhance road safety.

Operation Tow, a month-long initiative in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, resulted in the impoundment of 155 vehicles from high-risk drivers, including those who were disqualified or had outstanding fines. The operation increased focus on "RIDS" (Restraints, Impairment/Distraction/Speed) and conducted over 24,000 breath tests. About a third of the impounded vehicles were not claimed and were disposed of, contributing to safer roads.
