New Zealand's Minister for Regulation, David Seymour, has launched a "Red Tape Tipline," an online platform for the public to report bureaucratic over-regulation. This initiative aims to identify and reduce regulatory burdens, estimated to cost NZ businesses around $5 billion annually, or 1.3% of GDP. The government plans to consult on a Regulatory Standards Bill until January 13, 2025, to improve regulatory practices and hold regulators accountable.
