In Milwaukee, a 2-year-old boy, Angelo Berry, died after he climbed out of an open apartment window and was struck by an SUV. The driver, 41-year-old Laron Lawrence, who does not have a valid driver's license, was charged with causing death while operating a vehicle without a license. Witnesses say Lawrence tried to avoid hitting the child but was unsuccessful. The man who left Angelo unattended was arrested for child neglect.
