Karnataka plans three tech districts and partners with tech giants to train 100,000 in advanced tech.

Karnataka’s Chief Minister announced the establishment of three Global Innovation Districts in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Belagavi, as part of the state’s new Global Capability Center policy. At the Bengaluru Tech Summit, the state signed MoUs with tech giants like Microsoft, Intel, and IBM to train 100,000 individuals in advanced technologies over the next year. A new Center of Excellence in AI was also launched to foster research and development. The summit, with participation from over 50 countries, aims to boost Karnataka’s position as a tech hub.
