Herlda Senhouse, 113, the U.S.'s second-oldest person and founder of a club aiding Black students, has died.

Herlda Senhouse, the second-oldest person in the U.S. at 113, has passed away. Born in 1911, Senhouse founded the Boston Clique Club to raise funds for Black students' education and worked as a housekeeper. Despite facing racial barriers in her nursing career, she became a community leader and participated in a study on longevity. Her death leaves Naomi Whitehead, 114, as the oldest American.
