President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines has asked government officials to avoid expensive Christmas celebrations to show support for those affected by recent typhoons. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin suggested that any savings from reduced festivities should be donated to help typhoon victims. The government is committed to providing relief and rebuilding efforts to affected areas.
