A convicted murderer challenges a ban restricting him from living near the village where he committed his crime.
A convicted murderer, Declan Power, is challenging a decision that prevents him from living in his family home where he killed his wife and her suspected lover in 2003. Power claims the ban on traveling within 18km of Clashmore village, except for work, is "grossly disproportionate" and violates his rights under the European Convention on Human Rights. His case is set to be reviewed in the High Court next month.
