Ashlei Spivey has won the District 13 race for the Nebraska state legislature, defeating Nick Batter by about 150 votes. Spivey, a Democrat and founder of the nonprofit "I Be Black Girl," is the first Black woman elected to the Nebraska Legislature since 2016. She aims to support working and middle-class voters in the district. A recount may be requested due to unresolved votes. In the Millard Public School board race, Linda Poole, Justin Curtis, and Amanda McGill-Johnson have been elected.
