UK confirms H5N1 bird flu at Cornwall farm; virus spreading among various animals globally.

The UK government has confirmed a H5N1 bird flu outbreak at a commercial poultry farm in St. Ives, Cornwall. This marks the first such case in England this season. As a precaution, all infected birds will be humanely culled. A 3km protection zone and a 10km surveillance zone have been established around the farm. The virus has also spread among wild birds, poultry, cows, and other animals in the US, and a teen in British Columbia, Canada, contracted the virus linked to a local poultry outbreak.
