Thailand's economy grew 3.0% in the third quarter compared to the same period last year, marking the fastest pace in two years and exceeding forecasts of 2.6%. On a quarterly basis, the growth was 1.2%, the fastest in 18 months and above expected 0.8%. The National Economic and Social Development Council attributes the growth to a recovering tourism sector, increased government spending, and rising exports.
