Telangana allocates $26M to revive and expand the long-idle Mamnoor Airport in Warangal.

The Telangana government has approved Rs. 205 crore for the land acquisition required to expand and revive Mamnoor Airport in Warangal. The project aims to extend the runway to accommodate larger aircraft, build a new terminal, and install modern air traffic control facilities. The airport, inactive for over 40 years, will be the second functioning airport in Telangana, following Hyderabad. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is set to develop the airport for A-320 aircraft under the Regional Connectivity Scheme, with plans to cover infrastructure, operational, and maintenance costs.
