Kenyan Health official reviews healthcare access improvements, noting significant NHIF debt payments.

Kenyan Health Cabinet Secretary Deborah Barasa visited a hospital to review the rollout of the Social Health Authority (SHA) and stressed the government's commitment to improving healthcare access for all Kenyans. Barasa announced that KSh 5 billion of a KSh 19 billion NHIF debt has been paid, with another KSh 2.5 billion due by the end of the week. By November's end, all contracted healthcare facilities will receive their first payments from SHA, aiming to enhance healthcare capacity and ensure affordable services.
