Isle of Wight council nears completion of boreholes to safely reopen road closed by 2023 landslide.

The Isle of Wight council is nearing completion of three boreholes near Leeson Road to monitor ground stability and manage landslip risks, crucial for reopening the road closed since a 2023 landslide. Two boreholes are finished at 115 and 130 meters, and the third, 100 meters deep, will be completed soon. Monitoring equipment will help ensure the road's safe reopening by the end of November 2024.
