The Isle of Wight Council has started emergency repairs on a culvert in Shanklin to prevent future flooding, following heavy rains that flooded homes and businesses on Collingwood Road and Brook Path. The work, beginning Monday and expected to last four weeks, includes a one-way traffic flow on Carter Avenue. Councillor Paul Fuller stated that the repairs aim to mitigate flooding risks for the local community.
