Irish Health Minister opens a new 75-bed nursing unit in Limerick, modernizing elder care.

The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, opened a new 75-bed community nursing unit in Limerick at St Camillus Hospital, replacing outdated long-stay beds. The project, costing €31 million, is in two phases; 50 beds are open now, with 25 more to follow. The unit aims to provide modern, person-centered care for older adults, reflecting improvements in healthcare capacity in the region.
