Canada invests $3.9M to enhance cybersecurity training in Southeast Asia through a new center.

Canada will invest $3.9 million CAD in Malaysia's Cybersecurity Center of Excellence to enhance cybersecurity in Southeast Asia. The initiative, in partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University, aims to train 3,500 cyber-defenders from ASEAN countries, including programs for women. The investment supports a comprehensive cybersecurity curriculum and provides scholarships for participants to earn global certifications, aligning with Canada's Indo-Pacific strategy.
