BYU's Jewish quarterback, Jake Retzlaff, bridges faiths as team excels.

BYU’s successful football season included its first Jewish quarterback, Jake Retzlaff, who has become a bridge between the school’s Jewish community and broader fan base. Retzlaff, one of only three Jewish students at the predominantly Mormon university, attends Shabbat dinners and hosted Utah’s first public Hanukkah menorah lighting. He openly practices his faith on campus, wearing a Star of David necklace.
