Olympic champion Clement Noel set the fastest time in the first run of the season's first men's World Cup slalom. Swiss skier Loic Meillard took second, just 0.02 seconds behind Noel. Eight-time overall champion Marcel Hirscher, returning after a 2019 retirement, did not qualify for the second run, finishing 2.59 seconds behind Noel.
